    It is leaking !!!!!!

It is not leaking water, but air.

the container is not sealing correctly with the silicone, that causes the water level in the container to decrease, and the pump is pumping air.

Can anyone give me directions to fix this.

@Rickus - Think the pump is too powerfull for the inlet diameter of the pipe.... even under pressure - only a specific amount of water will be delivered to the bottom of the filter.... this creates an tremendous vacuum in cannister chamber that lets air seep in .... you basicly have to reduce the "Vacuum" that your strong pump is creating to fix this snag..

2 solutions: - smaller pump...or yours throttled back to its smallest/lowest flow...

    - another inlet into the bottom of the filter - halving the pressure....

To lessen the air leak, you can always cram some plumbers tape into the seal - bit of a fiddly opperation, but could go a long(cheap) way of stopping the air leak....

Im building a new canister.... 200mm PVC pipe ( this will be stronger ) The end caps will be in Bethlehem on Thursday. Canister will run again on Saturday.
With 2x inlets at the bottom, to half the presure.

I think ( and Hope ) this will work 100% now.

    Any 2c ???

    It WILL not leak again.

The bottom end cap will be glued to the pipe and the top end cap will be Siliconed with windscreen silicone and that is stronger then aqua silicone and wind and waterproof.

I would use 1 x inlet that equates to the outlet diameter of the pump, rather than 2 x inlets....also looks neater and lessens possible areas for leaks to occur.

Keep the inlet and outlet pipe sizes the same as the pump supply / return.

@rikus. Are you running both tanks from one filter? If so, if a disease breaks out in one tank won't it spread to the other tank? I might be wrong, was just wondering. Anyway. Very nice filter
