hey guys this might sound weird but i think my betta male is gay because he and his female is about the same size but she nearly killed him ripped of some his fins and stuff i now added him to another tank for recovery hope he makes it

 

Maybe she just isn't in the mood to entertian him LOL

Some females are more agressive than their male counter parts, it's probably just a case of a bad matchup.

Seperate them for a while and condition them.

And try again, if it happens again, try another female.

Bettas all have their own personality. Sometimes the females are more aggressive that the males, and will not tolerate the males. Generally she won't tolerate the females either. I bought 4 females from a LPS this weekend... 3 from one tank, and one was sitting in another tank at the LPS. I only realised when I got home why they had that female seperated form the rest..... she is VOES! SHe chases the other females constantly. I eventually took her our of quarantine and just put her into the community tank to let the other 3 have peace and quiet.

Dunno... best person to ask is Solex... but he's seldome onlin much. Sometimes over the weekends. Send him a PM. I'm sure he will respond withing a week or so

Werner5 - the fins should take between 1 and 3 weeks dependant on the extent of the damage
