I would like to know what would happen if you breed a crowntail male with a double tail female?

 

You will get something like this. Not many of the fry will have this trait though because some of them will be only dt or ct and not both dt and ct. IMO it is hard to breed them like this.

I think you would get crowntail bettas
I have bred a double tail male with a crowntail female and the fry look like crowntails.

with Cd(Double Crown) @ 25% Ct(Crown Tail) @ 25% Td(Double Crown) @ 25% and Tt(Double Tail) @ 25% of the time

So 50 % Double Crown,25% Crown Tail and 25% Double Tail if genetics hold true.
There might be the invluence of the pairs parents involved.
