Betta Spawning

Hi guys I'm Ashley, I'm kinda new to this forum and I intend to spawn my HM Male Betta soon, does anyone have any advice that would help?
PS. I've just introduced the pair side by side and the female looks a bit on the aggressive side, do females normally flare at males?

To answer your question; yes you do get betta females that are aggressive and flares back at the male but in most cases its a good sign especially when she has dark vertical bars known as the 'V stark' that begins just after the abdomen where the eggs are produced though in light body females you won't see the lines . I'm sure he'll show her who's boss and put her in her place.
