    Hi guys and gals. I hope someone can help identify the problem. Monday night I had to move my Betta because contractors will be doing new floors. Any event, the move stressed Hank out, as he was lethargic for a day after.

    Then on Wednesday I noticed it seemed in the move he may have freaked out and bump himself on the decor or something. It seemed like there was scale damage. I thought I'd give it a day or two to see how he does.

    It's now two days later and actually seems worse... I'm convinced it's not a normal open wound injury but rather some disease. He's still lethargic and doesn't eat poorly but definitely not the way he used to.

    I did some research and I came across something I truely hope he doesn't have. I won't say what I suspect because I don't want to influence opinions of those I believe may have more knowledge than me.

    Please, of anyone can help identify what this is I would be truly grateful. Any remedies and links to resources will be appreciated.[IMG][IMG]

    PS... I guess on the same account of why I don't mention my suspicion I can't eliminate an injury?... Let my know what you think.

    @Aquaman,

    I wont pretend to be sure but... I dont think hole in the head would appear, literally overnight

    It also looks too big a lesion to have developed from one day to the next, from HITH..
    I am more inclined to think he hurt himself and maybe the injury was quite deep

    If its an injury, a bit of salt should sort it out providing it doesnt grow a fungal infection
    HITH would need to be treated with something stronger
    I have never had to treat it but I have read that Metronidazole works

    But.. lets see what others think

    I'm losing the battle here... I'm thinking of euthenasing him... I'm desperate. He's not eating. The white fungus I beat but his bottom rear also had the same"injury" look to it... But it can't be an injury... He's also slightly bloated now and list colour at the bloated abdominal area. His breathing is also poor.[IMG][IMG]
