I am thinking of just replacing all of my gravel. Can I just use the fluorite black gravel for my entire tank? The midnight sparkle I have just looks grey under my lights and does nothing for the plants. What do you suggest. I definitely want something pitch black and don't like a sand substrate. I just don't want the hassle of having to add seachem tablets all the time either. I am getting a co2 setup and just bought whole range of seachem nutrients. Tank is juwel Rio 240

Fluorite will work for your hole tank. maybe look into ADA.

Expect to pay through your nose for substrate like ADA.

I have a spare 3foot tank so I am going to try soil. aDA is fantastic and you pay for what you get.

Yip ADA is great but it is about R600.00 for a 9KG bag.

All depends what you add under the substrate which makes all the difference with substrates. The ada additives are worth the money if you don't do huge tanks. Otherwise Seachem is a great substrate, pair that up with ei salts as ferts and you are golden.

On volume, ADA is actually cheaper than flourite. Just saying...

Many many bans on plants. Search for the blacklist thread. You will find the lists there.
