@Jack Stone and some others will be able to help better but here is my 2c...

Tropheus are out as the tank is too small. If you want to go for a "Tang cliff and sand bed" setup and not concentrate on a single specie you can get one on more shell dwellers, some Calvus, Compriceps, Ectodus Descampsi and a definite are Cyprichromis Leptosoma as dither fish. Tangs are very cool, I can sit and watch them for hours - amazing behavior....

Was also thinking on the same line, my tank already has sand which is a plus .I miss my neolamprologus, that's why I want to set up a tang tank again, finding tangs in Durban is quite hard

Finding Tangs anywhere is hard. You may get some Leleupis here and there and maybe some Brichardi but that is about it. I see some small Tropheus around in PTA now and then but you can never be sure what variant they are or if they are indeed pure... Best bet is to get some from @Jack Stone or one of the Tang keepers there in Durbs - that way you are assured of pure and good quality stock...

The following guys will be able to help... @Nawaaz @Naathir @Tyrek @HEIHACHI @Ebrahim
and off course as said @Jack Stone

You will have to post some pics when you get started!!!!

Hi there, yep took a while for me to get the tangs i want as well. Got most of my shellies from Jack. I would recommend the same fish as francoisve. Specifically ocellatus for the brave and active personality, multies the colony shellie those guys are cool once they get to know you. Calvus are interesting also. Haven't had any experience with decampsi and leptosoma but they are beautiful schooling fish. Good luck and post pics of progress

@Nawaaz do yourself a favour and get both those species - they display a tremendous amount of behavior!! The Descampsi also shifts sand like you cannot believe so your substrate is constantly being cleaned and it prevents any algae growth...
