There is no such thing as a LFS that has the best selection of plants. You just need to go from shop to shop!

But in my opinion the 2 best to get good healthy plants is Northgate and Westgate... no guarantee on stock LEVELS tho

high wash... i suppose it all depends on the stock avaible at the time, and the quality. I know westgate's stock is low at the moment .I was once told to go to the Lps at sterlig because they apparently had fantastic plants.... But every single plant was either black, or dead!

high-wash, so your plants got velvet and died? :amazed::eek:
    Never heard that before....

Animal Kingdom at Hillfox/Attebury probably have the widest range. Trick is to go there when their shipment arrives once a month. And VIP Northgate sucks when it comes to plants

I've never had success at Animal Kingdom. VIP had good stock when I was there... but be aware, they have a lot of garden plants selling as aquarium plants.

Westgate usually have the best stock... (every plant I've bought there has grown so well that I end up throwing half that amount away within 3 months.) Again, depends on when Henk get's his stock in.

I've had terrible experiences with Animal Kingdom and plants. The one in Atterbury had a nice selection one time that I went, then every other time I've been there they looked really horrible. Hillfox has never had good looking plants when I've been there, and I even went once right after they got a new shipment. I was also disgusted to see that they sell java moss for R190 a handfull. What an utter rip-off!

Where I have had good experiences is at Pet City in Montana, but they're by a long shot one of the best shops I've ever been to. They have a relatively good range of plants and they're always in good condition, and the same can be said for their livestock.

Looks like the best thing to do for plants is just to go from shop to shop and buy what you want when you see it.
