sorry man, wasnt thinking.... do they need to be in a group? or will one be fine on its own in the tank?
no.. i had one left (others jumped the bucket when i was moving them) and the single one got so lonely that he jumped the tank too i'd say atleast 3.. they school together which is nice i got 10 now they really rare and hard to find in sa's LFS.. so if i were u i'd go buy quick!!
thanks dude i really wanted to get that same day i was at your place, but we had a braai in the south...will PM you with a Q. thanks
If you are dosing your tank with Excel, you could also a syringe and when you are dosing, just spray the Excel directly onto the BBA. Usually kills it off.
also you have to realise that SAE's and Excel are temp solutions.. if u see BBA its due to slow flow rate in your tank/ unstable co2/ lighting intensity too strong/lighting photo period is too long.. unstable co2 is usually because of DIY co2 and/or because of strong lighting intensity.. lots of scenarios for bba.. really sucks! good luck!
if your bba is on wood just take a small flame torch to it my gas soldering iron attachment works well. just do it outside of the water that is
Hi I don't want to hijack your thread but what's the difference between SAE and flying fox? Some sites say they are the same thing and other say they are totally different, but the fish at my LFS sells flying foxes that EXACTLY fits the description of SAE.
