In the past 2 weeks 4 of my tanks broke. Three 1.1 meter tanks and the big kuana a 700lt tank :mad::mad:. About a week and a half ago I was standing next to my tanks and checking ph etc. Suddenly my oscar tank started leaking big time and was loosing water fast. I had my 700lt tank running for a couple of weeks now and didn't hessitate to put the oscars etc. in the sump. That solved that problem. Then on Monday morning I open my shop and I heard a terroble noise, the horror sound of a 6000lt/h pump that ran dry in the sump. The whole floor was covered in water, but I mannaged to save da fish. This morning when à opened shop again I was stunned when I realised another tank cracked during the night. This was my melawi tank.... what now. I am already 2 tanks short. In my other 1.1 meter tank I had bigger melawi's, and I aded +- 30 sml ones with 6 big fish. Then my tank supplier who build all the other tanks dellivered my 1ste 1.1 meter tank that broke. They fixed it apparently and I was happy to see one of my tanks back in the shop as the space was seriously getting cramped. We havent filled it up more than half way when the front glass panel decided that it was time to make a run for it. What a mess again:eek::eek::eek:. To top it all off I had a couple of angels that died on me and I only managed to save 1!!! Hopefully my luck will change :bigsmile::bigsmile:

Are they cracking or splitting by the joints.
Are the tanks all about the same age ?

Are they all from the same supplier? I would consider finding a new supplier.

COntact Henk (here on TASA) he is selling a whole bunch of 4ft tanks at REALLY good prices.

2 Tanks is back in the shop and running at full steam. Supplier put some extra braces between the 2 side panels (L) so I hope it will work, as the length panels cracked (1.1meter) My 700lt tank new one is on it's way can't wait. Hopefully it will not happen again, I had enough of mopping water out my shop and asking customers to don lifejackets ha ha!!

Geez talk about a run of bad luck! What glass thickness did he use? It sounds like it may be too thin if they are all cracking along the length. Hopefully your run of bad luck has now ended though.

The tanks are 400mm high, and guess what..... One of the fixed tanks pulled away from the side. Luckely I saw it before it started to loose any water and any fish. I am now honestly cheeesed offffff. My poor old fishys are transported between tanks on a weekly based not good for them at all. None has died yet on me but if this trend continues I will most probably loose a couple

Have you spoken to your supplier about this, although I'm sure you have....what was their response? How old are the tanks?

    wise cracks

    :eek:Naas!
Was it your metal-edged, black trim tank with cracked base I saw in for repair?

I was told it's for " a client who we built a sump for, and then his main tank broke, we didn't supply it though "

Lemmeknow If you want some of my 10mm,reinforced 1.1m tanks

Saw a few items you have on your list of "wants"
