Can't they supply you with a normal tank to the same value?? You might even get a bigger one :blink1: Size matters :p

I spoke to the insurance company. THey not prepared to do that. According to them, they want to "pay me out" with a new tank similar in size and design to what I have. What they claim is that you are not suppose to "benefit" from an insurance claim. You are suppose to be in the "same position" as you were before the accident... obviously minus the excess. So I can't really complain, considering I am still going from a 160 to a 208litre!

Awsome! That is fantastic news Zoom! Ja, there is something in the fine print that says: "The Short Term Insurance Act does not allow enrichment".... But the fact that you are getting a bigger tank is awsome! Congrats dude.

Thanks Dolphin. I was secretly hoping to be paid out cash so I could then purchase a custom build from you.. but alas, insurance companies are strict

OK.. well Pet Masters have officially delivered the tank!

They screwed up in there calculations (to my benefit). They told me it was a 218litre. (The tank is a Jebo 218, so they assumed that means it's a 218litre tank.). When I do my calcs... (120cm (w) x 50cm (d) x 53.7cm (h) ) that gives me 322 litres!

I will start a new post sometime soon as the progress moves along!
