Good day could anyone tell me where I could source an Axolotl in South Africa please and whether or not it is legal and if they are still blacklisted? It is required for a movie set.

    Thanks a mill

Black listed, although they are still available. Rather do a cgi instead

If they're blacklisted, would zoos and similar places have a special permit to keep them?

I think it's a research permit. I know my university has been breeding them.

Hi, sorry, life has been busy!

Yes, they will require a permit to keep/transport, though I don't know what the limitations might be for filming purposes. How would it be used?

There is one zoological institution that I know of that has at the moment. If it's strictly filming, then I can't imagine much harm. But if it requires a lot of handling and other stressors... then perhaps not.
