Yip,but a nice healthy growth of Louisiana water iris(once established) wont get shredded to much...you got some in that Goldfish pond at the front gate...will help you to pot some up and get ready for the tank....remember: I almost always have a plan...he,he, - Also,we can get some java moss established on the driftwood before it goes in - if it can survive the ravages of Malawi's,guees it can stand up to some hungry Tilapia...

Never underestimate the destructive power of Tilapia :p

You've got the space, why not go big? That tank is, after all, tankbuster size, why not get some tankbusters?

@ SalmonAfrica --> Tank was a Tankbuster home previously - the home of the Red tail cat.... Not sure if ZS wants to go that route, but will try to twist his arm....

Lovely tank. My lip is still dragging on the floor in shock! "Dad, when I'm older, I'm going to get one of those" Would have said that 10 years ago if I saw it. A small window of the amazon would look awesome but I can see a CKF swimming in there.

You guys, you know what fish I REALLY REALLY like? And I don't know if all of you will agree, but it's the Red Devil!! I think they are awesome! But I don't know nothing about them. just thought it was cool when they "attacked" me when I went to the LPS.

They can be cool, but they ruin the chance to add many other fish later, especially once they start breeding...

Nice size for a nano :blink1:

Ok I am only going to say it once, Moss.

Even if you do cold water moss will love it. We can then all use you to propgate moss and spread it around :)

You do not even have to go so heavy with the lights.

@Vis: Was also thinking moss - sides and back wall covered in siliconed on gravel - great for moss to adhere to... think about it... 7 square meters of moss, what a nitrate filter that would be...?

@ Troyfish : Going there tonight.....he,he, - why not PM ZS6WDL and wangle an invite - he's a pretty cool guy and when we get together,we talk fish for HOURS....

As ZS6DWL is planning to run this as a cold water tank for now..... 10 000 White clouds would be the answer for the moment...lol --> Actualy, moss walls with these little guys buzzing around could look quite cool... Various schools of them buzzing round....

Jacques, Jacques, Jacques that is one awesome monster tank you have dude, I do believe you now have the largest tank on TASA sorry Henk...lol
I agree with Azure stay away from cold water and try to go Tropical for a huge tank like that you are one of few people in SA that will now be able to keep some true monster fish..

Beeg Up for Jacques....well done dude

Red Devils are generally very agressive fish but they look cool, also add some Flowerhorn Cichlids.
I am currently busy setting up my new 6ft and a LFS is giving me a 20cm Red Devil it really looks nice Red and White in colour really attractive fish.
