    Hi Guys,
I hope you guys are doing great and have settled in to the year (finally).

For the life of me, I have no idea how to weld or own any such equipment. So I am hoping one of you guys would be able to help me out.
I have a standard 4ft Daro stand that I had put a table top on and am using smaller tanks to stand on it. I want to get my stuff a bit more organised and setup the bottom to hold tanks as well. The problem is that there is only one beam in the middle of the stand at the bottom (if you were to think of the letter "H" or "I"). I will upload a rough sketch shortly.

I need help in getting two more beams welded across the bottom. Would be even better if I could go a level up as well!
Do you know of anyone who can help me or have suggestions as to how I can achieve my end result?

For the bottom, the reason I want to do this is so that I can add decking to hold the smaller tanks. I at least have access to pallet wood hehehe.

    Much appreciated,
    Sash

I would fit a peice of the standard kitchen tops on the lower part of that stand to house smaller tank. nice and thick and should be able to carry the load. no welding needed.

Yeah I have those laying around somewhere. Do you think it is worth getting someone to add a level up though? Or will this be too weak?

Im not sure what you mean by "level up".. you mean adding another a 3rd level to house a tank.

Dude...If you wanna go up more, rather than "patch" something that was only initially meant for 250-300KG (average 4ft plus gravel, hardscape and water)...build a multi-tier stand. Rather safe than sorry!!

Don't know if @hein24 offers it as a service yet...can maybe ask him for a quote (if he's offering it already). Other than that...can prolly ask a LFS for recommendations, but they prolly gonna add their markup on as well.

Judging from your drawing this is what I did:

I used 16mm supa wood and sprayed it.

Hi @Just4me this is spot on. But you see the bottom part (pic 2?) that is where I wanted to add the two additional beams because I want to put more tanks there. I cracked a long tank there because I didnt add the additional bracing. So the middle sliiiiightly bent down but that was enough to cause the damage.

In my case it is just storage, my DIY co2 and small airpump so weight is not a problem. My power sockets are also mounted inside.

It's cool though. I also did a cabinet in my 4ft hence why I'm not using the stand [IMG]
