Assassin snails

    Hi do any one know where I can find any Assassin snails.I heard they will eat all small snails in a tank,thanks.

    I am sorry that I live too far to send you some, but can assure they will kill all other snails in a tank. Greetz Aad (Holland).

    @blueskipjack - yip, very cool little snails, but I believe they are on the black list in South Africa, so you may struggle to find them.

    THat is a pitty.I realy need some.THe more I take out the more new ones arrive.Do any one in South Africa have some?

    Unfortunately since they are on the BL you are not allowed to trade them or source them.

    They are one the BL for a good reason,don't want them to kill our native aquatic snails if they get out (even worse since they are omni-sex so any 2 snails can breed)

    If you really need to remove some snails then just throw a few pieces of cucumber in the tank and remove the next day,repeat until all snails are gone.

    You have to do with a pic than. Overhere they aren't on rhe BL. Winters are to coldI think to survive. Apple snails are because destroying ricecrop in Spain.[​IMG]

    Hi they look nice too.I am doing the blanched lettice and babymarrow but they multiply quickley.I would love to get one or two but it is taboo.

    DoubleDutch do they eat any snails or do they prefer a certain type?

    So what do we have to do? Haha sorry just wanted to add a verse to the rhyme :).

    To my knowledge they eat all (adult apples might be allright).
