I'm becoming a pro on cultivating algae and seem to be working my way through the list. If my fish would remain motionless for about 5 minutes they will probably be overrun by algae too! Hopefully I'll soon become an expert on eradicating it as well!

 

why do i always have some unique type of algae that isn on these lists

got a dark green spot on my plants in a brand new setup, anyone know what this could be? spots are growing on my glosso only

You sure it's not green spot algae or the start of blue green algae?

Yip, that's green spot algae. I've started adding some extra Phosphates today (Lenolax), I hope it will help. Will definitely have to invest in some form of pressurized CO2 since most of the problems I'm experiencing is link to insufficient CO2 levels and I can not risk adding more excel. I'm veeeeeeeeeeery careful with excel.

Ps: I will have to invest in some decent test kits in order to figure out just how much I'm lacking of what! Why don't they just make computerized systems that can politely tell me "Please add x ml of... " and give me the solutions name as well!

Now THAT is something worth paying for!
