    Everyone quick hide your Mopani Wood! The discovered a new type of Catfish that actually eats wood yes you heard right wood! This new catfish from the Amazon. A special bacteria that lives in the gut of this catfish breaks down the wood and makes sugar out of it, and that is were it gets its food from. It has spoon shaped "teeth" so it makes it easier for it to break and eat the wood:

    A plec is a catfish.

    Most of these types of catfish digest wood to some degree. It also assists with keeping there jaws sharp for removal of algae and other goodies!
