    Siamese algae eater,Corry and Synodontis.

I'm not worrying so much about the SAE and corries but i know from experience that a Synodontis can be a bit aggressive.

Which Synodontis, and in what size tank? What numbers of each, and how many hiding places or cover has been provided for them?

Corydoras aren't too much to worry about - I've never seen a Cory harass another fish, and tend to get on with everything. Synos can be a bit... pushy, especially at feeding time. The problem becomes more noticeable when you're dealing with a larger growing species (like S. eupterus, the featherfin), or an aggressive species (S. nigrita - which is both large-ish and aggressive). If you can go for the smaller species like Microsynodontis (sold as bumblebee synos) or true upside down catfish (S. nigriventris) you'll have a much better time in terms of compatibility.

I don't have any experience in SAE, so you're going to have to wait for a reply from someone else or do a little research.

    Regards,

    400L tank.Will be stocking 10x Sterbai corries,2x SAE,10 Hatchets,3x Eartheaters geophagus surinamensis and at most 1x Synodontis.

They have a Synodontis at the LPS that looks like Euptera,he was around 15cm when i was there last week.

I'm not sure if i'm overstocking or not since those are allot of bottom dwelling fish.

There will be a ton of hiding places,i found roundish slate looking rock.I'll be stacking the smaller pieces for corries and SAE and making a few big caves wit the larger pieces.

Personally, I've always preferred the idea of keeping S. eupterus with larger fish. Not that they won't get on with your fish choice, though, and I'm sure it will be fine. Just be sure it's a true featherfin - there are a lot of hybrids out there, particularly mixed with S. eupterus, which can grow larger than either of the parent species. Either way, this shouldn't impose any sort of a problem with the species you've given.

The stocking sounds ok - I know Synos and SAE don't stick exclusively to the bottom and like to explore the other layers and structures around the tank. Should look pretty good.

    Good luck.

    Awesome,thanks for the help.

I'm thinking of rather swapping out the Hatchets for Celestials danios since they are a bit hard to look after.
