I did a 25% waterchange today. And I have noticed the corries are very active this afternoon and was wandering if they are breeding? The one corry was on the driftwood and then the otherone joined it and then the one swam up and then sat on the other one for awhile its head was almost on top of the other one and now they're all following this one around the tank are they breeding? Thanks

This could be a sign of breeding the one that is being followed is he/she really fat. I know of a guy (vonkie) on the site he's corries bred that way he did a water change and he poured in cold water and the next day he had hundreds of eggs.

Thanks I hope that happens:)When I did the gravel vac close to where the corries stay most of the time there were 100s of whites grains that I saw being sucked up I thought that this could be the ich eggs as I have been fishting it off for the last week did I just suck up a batch of eggs? How long do they take to hatch? Would they just be anywhere over the gravel?

Corries normally lays all over the place like in vonkie's case they where all over the glass and over the heater so I don't think that it will be on the gravel but you never know. I am not sure on the hatching period maybe someone else can help on that matter.

As far as I can remember with Fonkies Corries they laid the eggs and around 3 days later they were wrigglers and around 5 days after that they were all free swimmers.
as as Johan stated they laid all over the place so maybe up in a flat piace of slate for them. and Fonkie used a 30lt tank to breed with and he added 1lt fridge water and the next day there were eggs.

    Hope this helps

If they make a "T" shape with the one nosing around the other's vent, theres a good chance they are spawning or will be soon.
