Are AQUAEL products any good?

Good day gents and ladies

Im in the market for a new hang on filter for a 18L tank. Came across the AQUAEL range of products. Since I have been out of the game for a while I wanted to find out if they are good products, not just the filter but the rest of the range too? I had Aquaclear in mind until I saw the prices recently and forced me to do more research to see if there was anything more affordable worth looking at. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Have not played much with the products ... a few more shops are now starting to stock it in JHB. Did buy an airpump. It is still working F's G-Thread - Page 5 .... but I did keep the slip and box. If it lasts me two seasons I will be happy - if not hmmm.

I bought one of the circulators and it only lasted two months. I had not kept the slip so I could not return it or else I would have. Maybe the other products are okay and I was just unlucky?

Cascade, got some excellent HOB filters at a reasonable price

 

Hmm - did not make two seasons ...

Aquael OxyBoost 300 Plus - just lots one of the outlets ... suspect diaphragm tear, now the hunt starts for spares. ... have not seen any and supplier is out of base stock, not a good sign.

On a side note the cheap Sebo is still going strong - loud but strong ;-) good thing they are outside.
