I have not touched the code or played with my pi since the beginning of the year not to mention the arduino .. it has been logging without issues for the last 11 months .. I see had a tank sensor un-clip in Feb so I am only reporting back on two temp sensors.

Data is from 1 Feb 2013 till today - can see the cold spell we have had.

First probe is the one in the 3 ft above my workstation .. HMF filter no heater
Left graph standard deviation # of accurance of a temp in the period, right the date / temp logged avg

    temp123-02.JPGtemp123-01.JPG

Second sensor is the room temp.

    Then for %Humidity

Not half bad considering the state I left it in ...

Maybe a youthday project ... add a few more sensors?

This is very interesting! What I would not give to have a logger with probes or some means of measuring NH3, NO2 and NO3. I attempted to model the nitrogen cycle at a stage and a system being able to log data such as this would have been ideal. Electronics is not my forte but I will keep a close eye on this thread...

Some of your attachments aren't working,f-fish.

Where do you buy arduino boards and parts if i may ask and what is the average price?

Netram etc and a shop in PTA .. not sure what they cost now - was a year back that I got these, Nice thing about arduino you do not need strong electronic skills since a lot of it is available of the web. I you have a good grasp of a language (spoken) then you could probably sting the programs together.

@Rory - think something is broken on TASA (maybe we are running out of space or a long weekend config change / install) sometimes the images show other times not. Noticed on posts posted after Arduino and your tank - Page 7

I seem to be able to see all the pics. I really need to get around to actually using one of my arduinos...

Yeap - get going with the Arduino ... seem to be rock solid devices. That would be an RTC (real-time-clock) on the I2C bus.

Something is not lekker on the uploads ..

I even get an contact you admin message for the last file if I click on it.

Got myself a micro, another Sd card and RTC board. Got the first bit of code working to read temp and humidity.

Need to wire and code the rest in - almost a cut and past from the Uno to the leanardo but not 100%, gonna drop the LCD to get a few bytes back for alternative probes.

Best you going to get is a ph probe - that is the way salties do it.

Put pics and some code ;-)

Ok just checked ... logged 690 days of data to date totalling 40MB

Will see if I can pull some meaningful graphs from it.

Must say I am very chuffed with this picture.

    2012-2014 Capture.jpg

    Humidity is blue, temperature orange.
First row deviation for each year.
Second - the range of the measured values per device
3'rd Number of records (you can see that I loose a probe every now and again consider the stellar mounting and wiring job done below - now wonder ;-) )

A few weeks back I got hacking on a RPI project and getting sensors and the like working on it ... I ended up with a nice bit of kit - taking pics and inserting the humidity and temp as a water mark on the photo. Even did a video of it and posted it to gluetube.

My desire to do some more hacking and shooting has been a struggle to get access to the platform, so xmas arrived early and pi factory supplied me with.
    rpi.jpg

So now I can hack on the old B and have the B+ remotely doing the measuring and shooting and what ever the mind can conger.

I had a 16GB micro lying around so time to put some raspbian on this guys and get it running.

PS MOD's you might want to change the title to Arduino / RPI and your tank.

Got a cool bit of node.js working .. allows you to take image from any web browser and tweak what the settings are.

BerryCam Express for Raspberry Pi is way better than some of the android apps I was playing with.
