    Hi guys
I'm new in the hobby so any help would be really appreciated.
I recently purchased a 100L aquarium. I have an internal filter with a powerhead. The filter is placed next to the heater which is set at 24 degrees Celsius. The filter is plastic and is placed very close to the heater, almost touching. Is there any chance of the plastic melting or am I safe?kind of paranoid about this.
    Thanks

As long as there is flow between the two it will never get hot enough to melt plastic. Just make sure they do not touch.
The upward draught of the warm water will keep the flow going. What I do is have my heater at a 45 degree angle to aid in heating the water quicker and it stays on for shorter periods.

    I agree with Roger.
If there is a small gap, the water passing through should keep it cool enough.
Can you not move the heater ??
