AquaH2O Aquariums

I'd like to find out if anyone here has an AquaH2O imported aquarium, and what their experiences have been like.

I'm guessing they import another brand and simply re-badge them, but I can't figure out which brand

Also do they sell directly to the public?

Looking at this one particularly...

I know NadiaK has got one....don't think she's had any hassles with it and it looks great. I'll ask her to logon later and post here...

 

the bigger ones glass goes at random. anything over 1.5m is to be avoided.... seen it so many times!

 

AquaH2O is now selling direct to the public again...been there a few months back and they had quite an amount of stock. Go make a turn by them and see what you can pick up

True, especially those corner/curved ones...

 

I'v also seen the larger tanks give in..i also dont think those cabinets are strong enough to handle the weight..some of the cabinents for their tanks hav a middle support post which jst cracks down the middle after few months then..boom..and a flooded house.personally know two ppl who had that happen to their tanks

So in theory a 1.5 should still be okay?

I was specifically looking at the bow-fronted ones, is there a reason these should be less "safe"?

Is there a better brand available locally which I should rather look at?

My Jebo although a corner thank is bow fronted as well, and has been going strong for about 4 years now.

That's good news I will have to swing by there next week.

 

Well I popped in there on Friday, and needless to say I won't be buying a tank from them.

They do however sell driftwood by the kilogram, and it's not like you can really get that kind of thing wrong, so I bought two nice pieces for <R100.

Ok you guys have made me very, very nervous I bought an Aqua H20 1m bowed glass corner unit before this thread was posted and it's doing just fine after 5 months. Should I now be expecting my tank to all of a sudden just fall apart????

please tell me you're joking and pulling my leg! because if you're not i'm going to have to get that tank insured and fast! or maybe find someone that can reinforce it for me.

 

I think he's pulling your leg.....Henk did originally say anything OVER a 1.5m should be avoided. That being said, I wouldn't trust any of them personally

GEEEZZZZ!!!! My heart!!! I think I aged 30 yrs in that short space of time!!! Thanks Veegal I'll keep my eye on it anyway, hopefully I won't have any headaches because it's already been stocked for 5 months.
