If you can't find a snail trap, then just use a lettuce leaf.
Place it in the tank with a rock on it, wait no more than 24hrs, then remove the leaf with the snails on it. You'll have to rinse and repeat as they don't all come to the lettuce (well depends on the snail and how hungry it is I suppose)

We used this method recently to remove 100s of ramshorn snails from the small tank. There are still a few snails left, but we'll take them out eventually.

He probably will, but I don't think he'll be able to eat the entire thing before you can get the snails out. Alternatively, place some cucumber in the tank for him and hope the snails go for the lettuce.

lol hope so too... look, if there aren't a lot of snails and you aren't over feeding, there shouldn't be too much of a problem with them.

Let us know how it goes :)

Raw is fine. I take mine out after a week or so. Just before it's breaking apart.
