Hi everyone I want to start breeding apistos as they have been a fish that i have wanted for many years but never found them.I have a 100litre that is empty at the moment that they would go in.I was wondering what the requirments are to breed and keep them.
    Thanks

Something to keep in mine. Most of the breeding articles and books are written with the authors home country water/climate specifications. What works for them might not always work for you.
    Good luck and have fun

thanks for the help i though they were hard to keep and breed but it seems they arnt.
I cant wait to get my hands on some.
I would like to make the tank very natural with braches hanging down from the canopy to create a root type feel do you know how i can do this Do youb know good plants that will I will be able to keep in the tank like grasses wise.My lighting is one 36w tube and a 25w tube.I am thinking of getting another T5 similar to the one on my 300litre planted or should i stick with what i got.

check around with your LFS some of them are getting these thinnish root type driftwood in or they call it branches...

for a low light tank the easiest available grass like plants would be hairgrass and this will be fine with those wattages...just make sure its not blue light and try to get atleast one of them a 6500K tube, pref the 36w
