Anyone want freshwater puffers?

hey guys to anyone who ever wanted non marine or non brackish puffers ie full freshwater puffers. google carinotetraodon lorteti this is the red eye puffer . its not like the common dwarf this bad boy grows 5cm ! for more info try fishlore.com

I really want one of these fish and Dolphin will bring it in , the only problem is that at least 10 need to have homes before Dolphin can bring them in . they cost 45 rand apprx .

if you want one of these interestingfish like I do then sign yourself up for one and say I !

Brads I'd definitely be interested in getting one. Would only be after this month if possible though. The tank we have isn't big enough for him, so I'd need to get that first. But ja, if we can get 10 people interested and then get an ETA, that would help a little bit

 

sweet im also only going to get a new tank end of the month to keep my puffer in . once there is interest ill let dolphin know and we can arrange a time that suits everyone . most people will have to set up a new speciies tank so yeah

Oh sh1te... I just set up my FOURTH tank!!! (A mantis shrimp pico!! the mantis is SO cool but I couldnt leave it with my clowns!) and now you come with this talk of freshwater puffers... which happend to be one of my all time most wanted... this is getting ridiculous, i just gor rid of books on my shelf so I can fit the new tank in... Hmmmm, but they're so awesome! :-D

 

haha dane but to keep a red eye puffer you don't need a big tank im sure you could fit a 10 or 15 gallon tank some where wink wink . make a plan !

 

Yeah, thats my problem! Always room for one more, thats why I got the mantis shrimp! Seriously running out of places to put them. My room looks like a freaking aqaurium! But i love it!

The biggest brackish/freshwater puffers I have seen at the lfs were Mbu puffers. They were atleast 12cm long.

I would be VERY interested, depending on ETA.

 

They must have been labeled wrong! They do not get bigger then 2.5cm
Might have been green spotted puffer.

 

Mbus get huge - they're also commonly known as ginat puffers, and can get bigger than 50cm!
