so i've just gotten a electronic copy of the america cichlid association handbook and bulletins (covers bulletins from 1966-1995).....includes tanganyikan/american and african cichlids.

lot of it is "useless info" i think ....but lots of other info regarding articles (hobby and scientific) about cichlids

also provides concise scientific and maintenance information about individual species of cichlids. The correct taxonomic identification, natural habitat, temperature/water/dietary requirements, spawning behavior, and other information supplied along with a color photograph (was only for the later publications...older ones have black and white)

also some stuff about where to catch wild caughts etc etc

so obviously i cant do plenty copies.....but would give it to 2 or 3.....then maybe they can pass on to others

An example of the articles (was a copy and paste)

henk...the 2nd part of what you posted applies to publications that will be using the reprinted material ( i think....could be wrong). I'm not writing a technical paper or anything so doubt it applies.

i got the info from someone overseas (was enquiring about fish info)...... he might be a member...i dont know

why dont we start something like a gmail acount thats open to tasa members and you can upload your books etc to it, and everyone can go and logon and copy the info. or some other way to share info on tasa.

ITS the internet people every thing on it is of pirate origination......

Otherwise material may be reprinted provided full credit is given to the author and to Buntbarsche Bulletin, and at least one copy of the publication containing the reprinted material is sent to the Editor upon publication. The following credit must appear: "Reprinted from Buntbarsche Bulletin, official publication of the American Cichlid Association, Inc. (ACA).

so you can, as long as the proper credit is given!!!

riyadh.....it says ....."and at least one copy of the publication containing the reprinted material is sent to the Editor upon publication. The following credit must appear: "Reprinted from Buntbarsche Bulletin, official publication of the American Cichlid Association, Inc. (ACA)."

i'm not publishing anything ....(i could be wrong)....in which case you're right

I've had stuff published before (used to work for a research company...so wrote a few technical papers)......i have an idea of how the publishing/copyright/credits thing works
