Another T5 ligtning Q!

    Hi people.
    I found some nice T5 900mm fittings for cheap at eurolux.
    They cost R150 for the single 900mm. so im getting two of these, but will to 900mm T5's be any good for my planted tank?
    And what tubes would you recomend and what wil they set me back?

    39W T5s? How deep is your tank? 2 should be sufficient to keeps plants alive, but they won't grow very fast.

    Your location isn't setup in your profile. If you go to Lamphouse (in CT,DBN and JHB) you can pick up 39W tubes (Sylvania/Osram Daylight/6500k for around 60 bucks and Sylvania GroLux for around 11o bucks)

    no darryn thats just for the fittings.

    ok my tank is 50 cm deep, and would you think my plants would do better with 3 900mm t5's? I dont have CO2
