    Hi guys

As some of you know I have been working with M.ramirezi for a few years now and have now reached F4 stage in development of another type.
In Europe these are called "Pearlmut Rams" and they are very popular, with asking prices in the region of €30 a pair.
Its been a bit more challenging to get it right as I didnt have the "recipe" to develop these, but I now have a small amount of them but still need a bit of development on this line.
I do however wonder if its worth the effort and would like some feedback from you guys.
Firstly I post a few photos of one of my females, and then a photo from a European supplier to indicate what it needs to eventually look like. I do believe Im only one stage away from achieving this but....is it worth the effort?

I'm not taken with it. I think collectors will be interested, but for the rest of us, your electric and powder blues are far prettier. My opinion only...

    Hey Marco,
I would say keep your line and cross in to the blue as well (2 lines). I think that way one will always be yours? They both look great!

I'm also not a fan of these guys Marco, I still think your GBR are the best.
    Great work, nonetheless

    Hi guys

I think i share the sentiment.
Im not really blown away. They look a bit somewhere "inbetween".
No point in really going ahead I think

Must agree, looks like somebody stopped doing what they planned.

    @Marco,

These seem to be going in the same direction as the Pearl scale Angels I kept a few years ago.
    Which I quite liked.

These Rams, at this stage, are sort of 1/2 1/2 imo.
A full pearl scale version might be nice?
Or perhaps you could breed towards a powder blue pearl scale?

I'm with @Reedfish ... they half half...why go through all the effort if you gonna throw in the towel halfway through Marco? Finish what you started, if by the end you dont like the outcome, then I agree...don't continue the line. Unless your tried eye (or sometimes just your pure gut instinct) is telling you it's not worth it

    Hi @Reedfish; @JAX

Its mainly a logistical thing. I cant really accomodate something that I'm not convinced will realy thrill me on the end.
Though "different" these Pearl Rams do not have the same appeal as for instance the Electric and Powder blue has
I'd rather focus more on the Powder blue and try and improve the line. On my line the head area can do with more blue scale coverage and also the shape can be improved.
If someone is interested in trying to continue this Pearl line you are welcome to contact me and I can pass them.on to you.

    Rgds

Good job @Marco, I do agree, not so colourful, but still. Perhaps I should make a turn to see them, as I will be moving next month and will have more space.

@Marco they are doing well, trying to breed the 1 pair as they are good lookers. No success as yet, as they ate their previous batch.

Will let you know when i`m in your area.

    Regards

I must be the minority. I really like the Perlmuts. I especially like what you were developing Marcos!

    Not a big fan...
They dont really have that WOW factor.
My favorite still is the original GBR's. Although the powder blues are just as stunning.
    Just my opinion.
