Hi everyone, me again with another specimen I'm battling to ID.

Judging by the look of the roots is this something that should rather be attached to a piece of wood like anubius?
Also got this little stowaway in the pot, what is this?

Looks like Cryptocoryne parva to me... All of them. Do not attach to wood like Anubius, place them in the substrate. They are lovely foreground crypts! Nice find! Where did you get them?

Looks like emersed growth of Cryptocoryne parva... nice little Crypt - keeps small, submerged leaves will elongate a bit as the come out now,and be darker green. Dont worry if the leaves melt, plant will bounce back. Ideal foreground or midground plant, depending on your tank size(huge or medium sized).

As for the stoway? there's not much there to work with lol,but it looks suspiciously like some Echinodorus quadricostatus.... Was planting some out yesterday - theresemblance to that is uncanny..

Thanks guys from the pics online I'm sure your spot on, as there were several other pots with 2-3 slightly bigger plants that look identical to what I see online.
This was from a lps in Pinetown.

What a lucky find! Its a great little crypt, trumping its somewhat tedious growth. I have been holding onto mine like a piece of gold.
Please do share when the time comes to do some thinning, plenty of hobbyists out there looking for it

    Kind regards and happy growing!
