    @Skye01 - here's my take on them:

    Plant no 1 - "Purple Waffle" an Hemigraphis type - unfortunately not an aquatic - melts in a month or so...

    plant no 2 - disagree with @shihr - Looks more like Cryptocoryne balansae to me....Give it lots of space - grows huge,though slowly - one of my favourite Crypts

    plant 3 - To small to tell...maybe some form of Sagitarius...

    plant 4 - Some type of Echinodorus...

    plant 5 - Echinodorus parvifolius

    plant 6 - Looks like Echinodorus bleheri - changing over from emersed to submerged form

    plant 7 - Aponogeton ulvaceus.

    plant 8 - Eish - some type of Echinodorus ??? Maybe "Red Rubin"?

    @azurekoi, thanks for that I can at least go and look them up... :bigsmile: The question I have is about the purple one... I thought that non-aquatic plants did not grow roots from the nodes, is this true?

    That is too much of a generalisation to be true...Think of Hygrophila polysperma - that roots freely from the nodes....
