    It depends.
If they are 2 males, there could be problems at some time.

If they are a true pair ie a male and female, then they should be ok together. But if they decide to breed, they could cause problems for the other fish.

Try and show them in one pic. Both from the side, with fins fully extended, showing the complete fish from top to bottom.
Putting them together should not be a problem. But watch them for a while. Any sign of aggression not ending quickly is an indication that the dominant one could hurt the timid one over time. You will have enough time to separate them again. Damage is not done instantly. Unless there is a fierce battle from word go, but even then you should be able to rescue.

You can add them together if you move the big one into the tank with the small one and not the other way around. The big one will be moving into the small ones territory and therefore the small one will be dominant when they start off together. You will then have to watch it that the big one does not become dominant and then hammers the smaller one. If they are both males you will have a problem though.

I would advise that you lower the temp to at least 24 C because then you reduce aggression in any case and then you can see how they interact and whether this will work.

However, black angels can be very aggro and can attack other angels very badly, they just simply have a bad temper.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

@Ryno, in my experience, you either have one angel or 6 in a tank - nothing in between. they may not show any aggression this soon, but keep a watchful eye on them over the next few weeks till territories are set up etc, and even if you see one just kind of "chasing" the other one around a bit, or one is always hiding from the other, you know you have trouble on your hands and then its only a matter of time befor one is dead from the stress.

    good luck

I dident read all the posts of this thread but remember Angels fight if there is less then 6 in your tank (depends if the 2 decides to form a couple) I have 2 angels and they are very territorial and keeps the other one away from his area.
