    Hey Peeps

Thought i would post a quick pic of the Angel wrigglers.....

this was taken last night, this morning though, we're down to around 15 .....[IMG]

lots must have fallen off the leaf during lights out and the Cory's must have gotten them.

really hope the ones that are left will make it.

That's so cool. Hope they survive.

To increase their chances can't you move the Cory's or any other culprits to another tank?

    Firstly Congrads!!! Thats awesome!

Is this their first spawn? Coz that looks like a very small amount... Mine spawned again last week and iv got about a hundred swimming already :)

Its a good idea to get your breeding angels in a tank alone if u want to succeed... The Parents will also eat a couple... my first 4 or 5 spawns the parents ate the eggs, then the wrigglers, then the free swimmers, then the eggs again etc... But apparently they do this and then learn how to raise them... Mine are pretty decent parents now :)

    Thanks guys

This is their 4th spawn now, just moved them into their own 3ft tank. Only have bottom feeders in the tank with them so shouldnt be a prob, i think they still getting used to the new tank and the water parimeters are still getting in line. The female did lay alot of eggs, but the male didnt fertilise them properly, so alot didnt make it, i think for their next spawn i will leave a light on so they can keep an eye on the babies all the time.

I hope i can atleast get a few from this spawn, this is day 4.

    Hey my Peeps

ok...so as of this morning ..... i have 1 angel fry left.....i think the pump was flowing to strongly and once the fry started swimming they got tossed all over the place ( i assume)...so i turned off the one powerhead closest to the fry, the other power head is more than sufficient...will clock this spawn up to experience.....hopefully the one lone ranger will be there once i get home....the parents were watching him very closely.

It seems that even though i leave a light on in the room, it still isnt effecient enough for the parents to see the fry and guard them... i dont really want to leave the main light in the tank on the whole time, cause wont that confuse the fish....they wont rest cause they think its daytime the whole time. any suggestions/tips for my next spawn?

Ok.....so non of the fry made it from this spawn. [IMG]

Taking into account that the parents have just been moved to the tank and their relative noobiness at this, im hoping the next spawn will be successful.
With this last spawn, there were just not enough fertilised eggs so only 3 fry got to the swimming stage and when you have that few fry the odds are stacked against you, so hopefully next time round the male does a better job. I must say i learnt alot so im going to help as much as i can.

    will keep you all posted
