I have a 3ft tank with 4 angels. About 2 weeks ago I noticed 2 of them were pairing. So I put 2 pieces of glass in the tank that they could spawn on. This morning I noticed eggs on the sponge filter pipes and tubes. Few of the eggs are white but most of them are a light brown colour. Parents seem to be doing a good job fanning and protecting the eggs.

I've also given up giving them slate etc. Mine have even spawned on the tank's glass.

I also currently have a batch of eggs on the uplift pipe of the filter. (This filter not in use at the moment... running on sponge filter.)

Congrats on the eggs. :D Most of my angels in the community tank chose the weirdest places to spawn - I've even had them spawn on a thin piece of cable....strange.

Maybe they can determine where the best current is to keep fresh water over the eggs without it being to strong to get washed away when being layed?

I also tought that they might have been injured when I bought them. 3 of my 4 have the bent fins, I find that the bent fins are much longer than the normal fin Angels. They look good like that.

Got home last night and the eggs were gone...
Bad news I guess but the bright side is I save on feeding the fry...
They should spawn again so I'll just have to wait...

Good news my angels spawned again on Saturday. Hope I get some fry this time. I have never bred angels before so not sure how small the fry are and how quickly they grow. I have liquifry, frozen dafnia and crushed flack food for egg lagers. Have bbs but no real time to hatch it. Will past pics if I get fry...

If you look close you should be able to see the eyes in the fry eggs. :p

Slayer.. start putting the liquifry in NOW. THis will also stimulate the infruosa (sp) to grow in the tank.
