Hi all. So my 140L tank is doing well. I am a bit concerned with my neons though. When I first put them in the tank, they were very bright and swam all over the place.
Since I added my large angel, they lost a bit of their color and seem to stay near the bottom of the tank. Could my angel be seen as a predator?
There are about 9 neons, 10 Black neons and 7 harliquins (The harliquins seem to be the bravest) with a few corys/
The other thing that baffles me is that in my other tank, I only have 3 neons and they are really colorful!
    Thanks everyone!

Angels are known predators of neons and other smaller tetras. Not a good mix, especially long term, where the angel will be large enough to eat the neons.

As the angel get's bit, the neons will fit in his mouth. this = food.

I had a lovely school of neons with my baby angels. Angels grew up, neons disappeared!

Angels will 100000% eat your Neons - happened to me twice (expensive live food)
Even thou you seem to see this mix in many setup - I would never mix them

Bigger Tetras ok - like Congos etc

So it is possible that the neons are hiding from it?
Will have to remove him then.

Well I got rid of him (returned to the LPS and had put into show tank) and bought some cardinal. The fish seem happier already, bright and colorful.
