LOL I know but it is impressive none the less!I like all things living my place looks like an animal shelter. All jokes aside though plants just takes an aquarium to a all new level its like walking on a patch of nice cool wet grass on a hot summer's day with your shoes off.

The 50mm growth is impressive by any standard Jo I think that you should change your pen name to speedy!

Nice growth man pressurized co2 is awesome, Elodea will use up all the nutrients in your tank thus your other plants will start to show deficiencies. It is the same as Ceratophyllum demersum(Hornwort)

Go do some reading on these plants :cheesy:

Yes it will use up all the nutrients so your other plants will start suffering of nutrient deficiencies, just some info I am aware of.

Use it dont use it :bigsmile::bigsmile:

Both these plants are on the black list so dont think you will be able to find any around.

Funny, thoughts overhere are a lot different at the moment. We are prettty sure a shortage of one kind or more sorts of nutrients will mean a sloe down/stop plant growth and will mean ALGAE !!!! Nitrates, Phosfates (when a shortage!) and microferts are added. Especially when CO2 = turbo is added.

    [IMG] no CO2 !!!

I am of this reasoning as well.I do have too much nutrients, that is why I need fast growers.

[IMG] before some cleaining. To be true : no idea !!! There are some more guys that don't use this. Maybe it has to do with the use of plantspecies that don't need a lot.

Keep in mind tank/water depth also.My plant growth was slow until halfway up the water column.

I might add some more intense lights this coming week.Thinking about the LED floodlights.

Before anyone start mentioning blue, red whatever, stop and think.

White light consists of ALL spectrums!
Remember your school science project with light and prisms?
