So ive been silently stalking these forums for years on years and now finally decided to join ...

Been in the hobby my whole life besides for a 10 year stint where i was overseas.

Currently run a Planted 5ft display with a sump, community tank (got tired of african cichlids). This tank is actually going to be torn down in the coming months in an attempt to address the substrate and do a DIY mix (yes ive read a lot about that here and will certainly be taking some pointers)

I have a 3 tier 2ft (need another one already) rack that im breeding synodontis petricola and boesmani rainbows, blue dream and green jade shrimp as well as some hillstream loaches. I also grow and sell planted driftwood and spiderwood in all my tanks.

I also have a 2ft planted nano aquarium with some panda cory's, gertrudes and neon dwarf rainbowfish.

yeah, well my 5ft is very much in the process of being torn down, ive been selling off all my grown in wood in there to fund the purchase of a monster piece of spiderwood i want to do in the display tank, so it looks a little messy at the moment but i will certainly do a series of photos when im doing the build. Badly want to run Co2 in V2.0 but that will probably elude me till the end of the year again due to cost.

A sump with CO2 is not ideal as the agitation of the water that the sump causes causes the CO2 to be replaced by oxygen. Not saying it wont work just wont be ideal.

Yes, i am aware of this which makes it quite difficult, id probably end up having to crank the co2 to achieve the levels required if im going to be losing so much in the sump. Or i should actually skip it and just go all out on my Nano scape, will be far cheaper to run as well.

    OK here's some pics...

1st is the 5ft display, I'm currently running a cannister as a temporary plan, the new plumbing is being delivered tomorrow, just finished redoing the sump to accommodate a bigger return pump

2nd is the shrimp tanks, they're in there, all hanging out in the hornswort

3rd is the 3ft nano tank with my diy wood light, needs a serious pruning on the groundcover this weekend

Other tanks are getting dividers put in this weekend so I've already moved the fish in amongst these tanks for now, when they're back together I'll post pics[IMG][IMG][IMG]

OK here's a full tank shot of the 5ft, new plumbing hooked up on the sump, as well as a full tank shot of the rack now that I've got the other divider in the bottom one, and a shot of the synodontis petricola just because I love them... [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Very, very nice @iMG

The synodontis are gorgeous, like them very much too
Only reason i dont have any is because they dont get big enough to be safe in my tanks
