Ok whilst I continue my search for the otocinclus. I'm left with no algae eaters as I sadly returned my pleco and chinese algae eater before more damage was done to my plants. I have vallisneria and 2 big amazon sword plants growing in the tank at the moment seems like the right ferts and good lighting was all that's needed they have been growning beautifully since I got them. I don't have an outbreak of algae haven't had any algae problems at all. I would like to get hold of some algae eater that would be suited to my tank its 72l and I won't be getting a bigger one anytime soon. I heard that the amazons don't rejuvanate their leaves so I need something that will not eat or damage any of the plants. Any suggestions will be welcome or an oto:) I have come across the hillstream loach aka hong kong pleco can anyone comment on this fish with regards to algae thanks alot

    Hey Snyper

Just curious, you say that you haven't had an outbreak of algae or any algae problems, so why the need for an algae eater?

    Cheers

The problem with apples is, is that they get rather big and at the point they become steamrollers. We had also lost a whole shipment (40 pots) of HC due to apples snails – over night! Lekker snack for them.

Apparently these Garra flavatra are some of the best algae eaters you can get.
Might not be that availible here yet.
