airstone not working

    joburg and pretoria. i cant travel to pta everyday
    hey guys my airstone stopped working last nite and i dont know why. could my gravel have blocked it? the gravel is very fine

    It could be the airpump itself that has packed up... the cheaper models don't last terribly long... the diaphragm packs up. Check that the pump is still pumping air, if it is... replace the stone... they not that expensive.

    I read on aquarticles.com you can wash the airstone in vinegar to unblock the pores, but haven't tried it myself.
