    Hi All

Has anybody ever used the airsticks below? Are they effective and do they work OK? I'm planning on putting 2 of the 800mm in the tank, but would first like to know if they work "lekker"! Small fine bubbles or big bubbles etc...

    Many thanks.

The 'air sticks' are just airstones which have been placed in a plastic 'casing'. The size of the bubbles depends on whether you have laid it IN the substrate or on top of the substrate.

I have seen it working. Its called bubble wall. Veegal is correct if its above the gravel the bubbles are small and form a wall. When under the gravel the bubbles are larger and not impressive.

Thanks, I think I'll try one out, if I like it then get a second one.

I have them in my tank and they work great but as the said before it all depends in were and how you place it. If it is above the gravel it has a file bubble but if under a biggish stone gravel you have bigger bubbles and if you use it under pool silica sand it looks ok.
(My opinion it looks good either way)

Wanted something like this for my 1.2, took normal airline and used a heated up pin and made holes all along it, didn't have small bubbles but did the job.
