    Hi everyone

I'm looking for any of the above. They're pretty expensive first hand so I'm just checking first if there are any second hand.

The air pump can be any size, it's just to circulate a 2 litre brine shrimp culture bottle.

The ballast is for a T8 light, 20W.

    Thanks everyone.

Alright could we make that either 2 air pumps needed, or one that is powerful enough to feed a few systems?

    Thanks

I bought a 2ft led light for my 3ft. Drilled a hole on the side of the canopy and fitted the contacts directly as the led do not need a ballast. Total cost R150

    Thanks for the responses guys.

The air pump was pretty urgent so I went first-hand on those that, not at a terrible price either (though I think I'm taking a risk on the brand).

I'm going to fiddle with an old ballast that I might be able to work for my 2ft light, probably just needs some adjusting/replacements. I'll keep this thread open in case somebody does have a spare, though.

    Thanks again.

    Regards,

If it is the dual sobo's your probably OK .. they seem to be outlasting some better known brands.

Not a Sobo - "Asian Star" is what mine is called. Not too noisy either (especially compared to pumps back in the day), and has good output too. I guess time will tell.

Hey, for now I think I am sorted - got enough pumps running for what I need. But thanks, will keep that in mind if I ever expand my projects.

Yup, similar design, but at the moment only a single culture going, so it's not a rack like that. Also running a sponge filter off the same pump.

100% do you use it as a food source of just treats?

I use it for fry feeding, but have other food sources going for them. So far I don't use brine shrimp for adults, seems like a waste. I have other live foods I might feed as a treat occasionally.
