African Jewel Cichlids

Hi Guys,

I use to have a breeding pair of african Jewel cichlids and I really want to get a few more. Does anyone know where I could get some, my local shops do not have any?

Unfortunately the Jewel Cichlid SPP is currently on the South African Blacklist and may not be purchased, owned, breed or distributed within the borders of SA, nor imported to SA. I am aware than many LPS do sell them and plead ignorance of this list, however as we all know the law... ignorance of the law is no excuse. Whilst the TASA rules and regulations will allow the general discussion of blacklisted species (Within the blacklist sub-forum), we cannot condone requests for, or selling of any blacklisted species.

It's always horrible to be greeted within a new forum buy having one of your first threads closed. Understand that it is also not an easy task from a moderation point on this particular type of post, as we accept that 99% of new members are unaware of the fact that there is such a list as a blacklist. So on behalf of the modding team, I trust you will understand why we have had to close this thread, and please do not take it as a personal attack at all. If however you have any problems, please feel free to contact any of the moderators via Private Message.
