Those look like kribensis, some form of Pelvicachromis sp., probably P. pulcher.

The black line on the female stays unintrrupted not so on these and they are not as vibrant as P.P.

What did you purchase them as? Did the supplier give a locality, either as an import or where its descendants came from?

The pics you have here aren't much to go by. My knee jerk reaction was P. pulcher, but due to the lack of clarity, I said 'probably'. If these aren't as vibrant, it might be because they're stressed. The differing pattern from regular P. pulcher might be due to them being a bred variant - this species has been bred in the hobby as long as it has been introduced to the hobby. At a stretch I'd say P. roloffi but I've never seen these in real life so I can't say for certain.

If you could get a clearer picture, we might be able to determine which strain this might be, or one of the other 3 Pelvicachromis species.

    Regards,
