    Very nice...
I'm planning on a malawi tank as well - but boy - the choices that one must make..

So I'm looking at what others have done - so basically stealing some ideas. :)
What species are you stocking, and what is the fish count in your tank?

    Hi @Wandrag

    thanks

I have a mix of Africans and one Green terror. Some OB peacocks, haps, mbuna.

Originally, I had a rock scape like that of the bottom of the lake (watched some YouTube vids) but then got this scape for a great price so added it to the tank.

Added some big plants, but they kept floating around. I will get some java fern, anubia and glue them to the rock scape.

Haven’t counted the fish in a while, as I have a grow out tank and I have been adding a few fish over time.

    @Breado

It looks excellent. In a way there is a marine feel to it

If you get some hardy plants, plant them, and put some pebbles round the base. This should stop the fish digging them up.

    Thanks @Reedfish

I do have two marine tanks as well, so I guess it inspired the layout.

Will take you advice on the plants :)

Strangely enough, even though I love cramming plants into every square inch, this tank somehow works for me precisely because it doesn’t have plants but looks like a reef :)

    I agree with you
Love a planted tank but there are some stunning scapes without plants too.. they have their own style and beauty

Iv personally never seen the appeal to the African cichlids, I think mainly because Iv never seen some really nice ones.
Your tank looks fantastic, it’s beautiful honestly.
You might be twisting my arm into the African cichlids a little.

@Breado great set up, love the colors and activity.
Have you thought about winter, I have a few tanks set up in workshop witch is similar to garage and open to elements. I need 1watt per ltr to keep temps in June/July. Hope this helps before first cold snap
