I am currently setting up a tank which I intend to use as a planted setup!
Tank spec: 695x695x700. Lighting: 3x 25wtt 1x 20wtt. Substrate: Flourite dark+Flourite black sand! Decor: Mopani roots and still deciding on rocks(possible slate).
I cleaned tank, filled it with water on a level surface to check tank silicon for leaks as it is a 2nd hand tank. Result tank 100% sealed.
Drained tank cleaned up and put it on stand in its new location, thats when i decided to check whether its level.... seems like my tiled floor is not level at all ! So here comes my question: How do I resolve this? The tank sits on a 4 post stand and i was thinking of attaching a solid base to the 4 posts and attach a peace of styrofoam to the underside, do you think this will make it level?

Wont make it level but on the four legs of the stand try inserting pieces of wood or thin metal to get it level before filling it.

Is it just one leg that is "shorter/uneven" than the others or more than one. When i had this problem on tiles i use to place coins under two opposite legs at a time to find out where the problem was.

ummm... the tank has 4 posts, 3 infront and 1 at back. the problem is that when i check level from front to back its perfect but the front side to side is out! I attempted to slip plastic discs under the unstable post this solves the side-side problem but then the front to back falls out! hope that makes sense?

Ok so its a rectangle tank, put a slide under the back one as well when you have the front perfect, you might need different thickness of slides.

If you have spacers in the front and back i don't think that would be a problem as long as they can take the weight the biggest concern is what you are addressing and that is getting it level side to side and back to front.

Try to move your tank a little bit forward out of the corner and see if this will make a a difference. Some tilers tend to put the tiles or part of tiles right next to the wall a bit higher. Therefore if you put your tank just that little bit away from the wall you might find a more level area.

Find a different spot? Move around furniture and see what happens.

I am trying to find a level place in my soon to be fish room for my 3ft stand. I ended up finding a spot after 1 hour of moving and sliding. Simple carpet pieces might work and fill in the height where need? You can stack them in such a way that it levels out!

    Regards
