    Hi Guys,

I would like to request something simple (IMO) from sponsors and non-sponsors.

When you guys post your offers on the forum (or any other website for that matter), please would you be so kind to post the pictures of the actual stock in your tanks.
Please don't download a picture from the internet and create the wrong expectation of the stock you are selling. Some of us have to drive far to get to you guys and when I get there, it is not what is expected.

I have seen time and time again where pics of stock are posted and when you get to the store, it is some low quality or mongrel that is in the tank (false advertising).
Lastly, please keep the dead ones out. I know you guys are busy but surely floor staff walk past the tanks several times in a day and can simply net out the history.

I am not going to name and shame yet but guys, please consider this.

    Thanks,
    Sash

lol you have a point sash, but netting out around in some tanks might put some stress on the fish making them les apealing to customers, but i agree, ive seen dead fish in tanks that that have been there over night for sure, time must be made to sort that out, and posting actual pics might be time consuming for petstores but i have to drive 500km to pta to support, atleast show me what u actually have, now asking them to take pics of neon tetras and so on might be not worth the while but i do agree with you, posting a pic of a absoluete jaw dropping betta and you get there and they only have the norm will make me put on a show, i was at wazeers the other day they had a baby red tail cat, looked like a big tadpole, skinny as hell, but yet dead guppys and mollies everywere in other tanks

Yep I hear you. But still I maintain the guys need to stop misleading. They can't say they are too busy to take pics but have the time to post it online either.

Hi Sash... We do have a policy on TASA of not naming and shaming. Rather speak to the people in the pet shop and give them a chance to state their case. If it happens too often, well then, rather stay away from that shop.

    Hi Jenn,

    Thanks for the heads up.
There are other threads aimed at non-sponsors where names are mentioned. It might be a good idea to advise those guys too as I am sure not everyone is aware of these rules.

This is a request I have made to people of the trade, about improving on a service that bothers me as a customer. The reason I put it up as mentioned is because I have to drive far to look at stock, only to be disappointed.

My apologies if my plea has offended anybody. My aim is to do the opposite and make my own life easier.

I know from experience how frustrating it can be to drive far for nothing. However, even if they post pictures, I doubt they'll include the dead fish in the tank :p It's a problem.

Dead fish is one thing...it happens. If the staff checks the tanks at 08h00 and a fish dies at 08h30...you gonna see it...

...decomposing fish on the other hand
