Its a sad day in my tank today where as I lost one of my best fish, my dominant male steuitgranti ngara.......
It had some type of fungi around its right side gill, and prior to that it just use to hide away and not come out....

Is there by any chance of some sort of vitamin that one could use to build up there immune system or something????? Am currently using the water life product which is Sterazin its ok but at 112 rand a 60ml bolt is rather steep.

Am also using HBH veggie flakes that's filled with vitamins and what ever else they need. If there is anything else I can use your knowledge would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Water parameters ok.....
    PH : OK
    NH3 / NH4 : OK
    NO2 : OK

    Thanks E

O anyone have or no where I can get steuitgranti ngara male x1 and females x4

Hi. Proff gave me some fantastic advise and it's cheap. A heaped up (opgehoopted lepel) spoon of aquarium salt per 100 liter. I had a fungus on one of my Rainbows as well and it disappeared in 3 days. Works like a bomb.

Have a look under diseases - congo tetras. I used salt and it works like a dream. Thanks to Proff.

According to the professors advice. "I would add one heaped tablespoon of salt per 100 litres and then I would leave the whole affair". Only replace the amount of salt according to the water volume you replace. In 3 days my rainbows was healed. All credit to the Professor and salt. You can go to "ask the professor" and he or other users will reply. Definately worth a try.
