any good quality food is suposed to give them good colour. but the water must be good quality and their tankmates must be compatible with them or else they would stress and dont have colour. i like to use with any fish tetra foods.

Hmmnnn..... the old subject of colour enhancing pellets..... You get 2 kinds: Food based on natural colour enhancing compounds like keratin...and foods based on hormonal additives...

Keratin only works well on enhancing Reds in a fish - the hormonal ones work on the base of flooding the fish with testosterone (destroying females ability to breed by the way...)

I prefer to buy good quality fish - F1 generation Wilds if I can get them and by feeding a good vegetable based flake - just wait for their natural colours to develop..... Forcing a fish to show colour is just not my thing.....

    Agreed

Also five to ten cms in many cases are babies still - I'd keep it natural and have patience

Water conditions are important too for a fish to colour especially if you have F1s or wilds...also is your waters ph and hardness right as that also helps a fishes colour and osmo regulation...

Also higher temperature also helps as it emulates the warm wet summers when its breeding season and they have to attract females

Aadill I got to ask...you a practical joker???

    Goodluck

I feed my Malawi's spirulina flakes, that I bought from a breeder. They are still babies between 4-7cm. SOme of them have beautifull colours.
