    Got a 600L tank a few days ago and have decided to turn it into a Tanganyikan community tank. The tank is 1.5m long, 60cm wide and 70cm tall.

    My first idea was doing having bigger fish like frontosa and compresscieps so I can add an oddball such as a Mac eel.

    My second idea is a big colony of tropheus. Hopefully breed them eventually.

    And my last idea and favourite one is to do mixture of small to medium fish. And set up different territories and see how they interact with each other. Currently I have multis, telamachromis and soon dwarf compresscieps.

    There are just so may fish to choose from. Also I was thinking of adding all my other fish to the tank to make it into a planted tank but I have to many of those.

    Dont forget that Brichardi and Calvus are also Tanganyikans. I have a 600liter which i want to turn into a Tanganyikan tank in the not to distant future.

    Will be following closely.

    The dwarf comps I'm getting a trio of them. Hoping for some breeding even though the fry take forever to grow.

    I normally group calvus and comps together. They are stunning though

    @Kiaan26

    Good luck with the project.

    If it was me, I would go with option 3......well that's what I have done ;)

    IMG_20211105_103059.jpgSo I have added the telamachromis and the multis to the tank. And a mistake on my part was putting in 30 white cloud minnows while I was cycling the tank. I'm never going to catch all of them out.

    In also a good week. Found out my super red bristlenose plecos finally had fry and picked up a hairy pufferfish to add to my collection of weird fish.
