Swop: 54W Ballasts for 39W Ballast.

    Hi guys,

    I've got 2 x 2 tube 54W T5 Ballasts that I'd like to swap for a 2 tube 39W Ballast. The current Ballast is driving 39W tubes in my 3ft but it's too powerful so the tubes keep blowing.

    I have 2x 35w ballasts runnung a my 39w. This seems to be working great.

    How long are the tubes meant to last? They could just be old I guess. My tank has been lightless for about 3 months. need to sort this out.
